HENDRE LAKE - RUMNEY, CARDIFF. WALES CF3
Description: This lake is not a massive lake but is well stocked with fish and has an island focal point. There is also a small piece of land that juts out allowing fishermen close to the island fishing enabling them to target the local Carp that seem to favor a gravel patch just in front of the island. When in winter months there is a very deep trench that runs the entire length of the lake giving the opportunity for cold weather fishing. During the summer months there are lots of features such as reed beds and shallow shelves allowing closer to the surface fishing. A very picturesque lake but extremely cold in the winter months as it is open all the way around with very little shelter from the wind.

Lamby Lake - Cardiff / South Wales
Lamby Lake is a young lake being dug in 2001 from an old river bed. It is very rich, with plant and animal life thriving. Add to this the high quality of water and you have a perfect environment for fish. The existing fish stock, are testament to this, growing fast (up to 7lb a year!) and spawning happily. The lake is about ten acres in size so is suitable for all anglers. Lamby Lake is a young fishing club in Cardiff Wales, situated in Parc Tedelerch. The coarse fishery is run by a team of local anglers who are dedicated to helping produce one of the top coarse fisheries in Wales. Already an exceptional coarse fishery for Wales, they are working hard to make it the best. This means planting aquatic plants stocking more fish and controlling weed and vegetation growth.
